Frequently Asked Questions

No. Berry Good Auction Manager runs entirely on your local network. Your server PC and all connected devices (tablets, laptops) just need to be on the same WiFi or LAN. An internet connection is only needed for optional features like emailing invoices or buyer/seller portal access from outside your network.

There is no device limit. Any device with a web browser on your network can connect — laptops, tablets, phones. You can have a clerk entering sales, a cashier processing payments, and a projector showing the customer display all running simultaneously with real-time sync via WebSockets.

The server runs on any modern Windows machine (Windows 10, 11, or Server 2016+). A basic laptop with 4GB RAM is sufficient — the software uses SQLite, so there is no separate database server to configure. Client devices just need a modern web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari).

Yes. You can import buyer and seller data from CSV files or enter it manually. If you are coming from another system and need help migrating, contact us and we will work with you to get your data transferred.

Your data never leaves your premises. The database is a single file on your server — you own it completely. Staff accounts have role-based access controls, and the system requires authentication to access administrative functions. We recommend regular backups of your database file.

Each Standard License is a perpetual license for one server machine. You can run unlimited auctions with unlimited data on that machine forever. The license includes one year of free software updates and 2 hours of setup/support time. The Multi-Site License includes 5 hours. Additional support is available on an as-needed basis at an hourly rate. After the first year, continued updates are available at a discounted renewal rate.

Yes. If you replace your server hardware, contact us and we will transfer your license to the new machine at no charge. License transfers are handled on a case-by-case basis to prevent misuse.
